Is this the scariest film online?

I’m a pretty big fan of the found footage subgenre. Despite this, a film called Rorschach totally slipped past my radar until a friend on Twitter recommended it. I was eager to watch it, especially since it’s available for free. The filmmaker, C. A. Smith, uploaded Rorschach on YouTube.

Two skeptic researchers investigate a mother’s claim that an unknown presence may be trying to communicate with her seven-year-old daughter.

The other night I streamed it on my television with all the lights turned off. If you think you can’t find a quality low-budget horror film on YouTube, think again. Rorschach seemed believable and yes, at times quite scary. There’s no nauseating camerawork like most found footage films, the characters behave in ways you would reasonably expect, and the creepiness and dread builds up as the unknown presence becomes more hostile.

But is it really the scariest film online? Maybe not, but there was at least one part that had me frightened. I definitely recommend you watch the movie, support the filmmaker and crew who made an effective chiller, and decide for yourself.
